I have the greatest IT guy in the world! So great, in fact, that I married him! I did everything I could think of to fix the problem and even asked about it on a forum. I knew I was in deep when the answer I got looked like a foreign language. I contacted my “help desk” and had prompt service. The issue was resolved before the end of the work day. :) You, my dear, are The Man!

If anyone tries this, let me know how it turns out. I don’t have a good view of the moon to test it. And don’t forget your tripod! Blurry moons are no fun.
No responses yetAs I mentioned in my post about outdoor portriats, overcast days are the best days to do outdoor portraits. I’ve never really gotten the chance to shoot portraits on such a day until this last Tuesday. The whole week had rain lined up in the forecast. It wasn’t a yucky day, just cool and with the sun snugly tucked behind a heap of clouds. There was plenty of light but not blinding bright. The photos blew me away. I had very little editing to do. The colors were bright and beautiful with awesome contrast and everything very even. It was at that moment that I was able to see what I had learned in action. I look forward to taking more outdoor portraits and hope for a nice overcast day to do it in.

This was a result of zooming in too close when taking the picture. I didn’t leave enough cropping room, so when an 8×10 was requested she lost her feet!

No responses yetAfter a lot of thought about what my goals are and were, I realized that this blog really drifted off course from its purpose. I had started this blog to give helpful hints to other photographers that are, like myself, still learning the art of photography. My blog has seemed to morph into a photo blog. This was not my goal. In the beginning it contained hints and so forth. So my goal is to take this blog back there. I want to be a help to others. I think the loss in purpose for this blog is why I quit posting on it.

In other news, I will be starting a store to sell my photos, photo cards, and the occasionally crafty item on the side. The store was originally scheduled to start today but has been postponed due to things out of my control. It should be open in 3 weeks though. I’m excited!
